Working together to #KeepOnslowCreative!

MORE THAN A HASHTAG

#KeepOnslowCreative is more than a hashtag, it’s a call to action for members of our community to join with us to support the arts here in Onslow County.

Supporting artists, art education, and arts experiences here in Onslow County mean you are investing in our community’s cultural diversity, economic health, and educational growth.

As part of the Creative Forces: NEA Military Healing Arts Network , we are also learning that the arts can be powerful avenue for healthy living. The members of our Creative Discoveries Open Studio share with us that being creative on a regular basis in a supportive and non-judgemental community has a positive impact on their lives.

Become an Advocate

Being an advocate means to publicly support or recommend a cause. It’s as simple – and as meaningful – as that!

Every time you share about an event we’re having, every moment you take to make sure the arts are a part of the ongoing plans to improve Onslow County, every social media share and/or follow, every local artist you support…all of these add up to advocacy.

Staying connected to what’s happening at the Council is key to being an effective advocate. Please be sure to follow us on social media – Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram – and sign up for our newsletter!
